Annual Contribution Limitation
For an individual with self-only coverage under a high deductible ( An amount that allows a reduction of the AGI) health plan (HDHP), the annual contribution limitation is $3,500 in the calendar year 2019. For an individual with family coverage under an HDHP, the annual limitation is $7,000 in the calendar year 2019.
High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP)
For the calendar year 2019, a “high deductible health plan” is a plan with an annual deductible amount of $1,350 or more for self-only coverage or $2,700 or more for family coverage. The deductibles or copayments (out-of-pocket expenses) are not more than $6,750 per year for self-only coverage or $13,500 for family coverage.
